Family - We come together

We traveled to Arizona for the funeral of my father. He was a real inspiration. He passed two weeks before my daughter became a pharmacist. We almost had three generations of pharmacists living. My father owned a pharmacy in Gilbert Arizona for many years. I took my first steps in that pharmacy. I started washing dishes at the soda fountain when I was able to reach the sink (5-6 years). I was running the cash register soon after. I recall having to step back when the drawer opened to keep from getting hit in the face and standing on tippy-toe to make change.

My father was also on the Arizona Board of pharmacy, the President of the Arizona Pharmacy Association, and served on the National Board of Pharmacy when the established the National Exam (NAPLEX). He continued working after he sold the store in hospital pharmacy and for the Indian Health Service. He was big into woodworking and genealogy. We look forward to being with him again.

We were able to spend time with family in Mesa and again at the Cabin. A few of the photos to remember.

My grandson in the car during the long trip. He was a trooper.
He is taking a bath in the sink. This is a tradition in the family. We will be able to embarrass generations.

My daughter with a very old and interesting keep sake.

My father, daughter and I when my daughter was
beginning her education in the College of Pharmacy.
OK, three generations who sell drugs for a living.
